I think we ended up staying 4 nights in Arequipa pre and post our Colca Canyon trip. Arequipa is probably the “poshest” place we went in Peru and the centre wouldn´t look out of place in Spain. All the buildings here are made of a white stone which makes the place look a lot less drab than some of the other towns/cities in Peru. We saw a preserved 500yr old body here which was found frozen as a human sacrifice which was still looked pretty like as it had all its skin and that intact still. More so probably than Uncle Ho who we saw in Hanoi and hes only been dead 50 years.

The weather here was really nice, barely saw a cloud the whole time which made it nice for just wandering around which was pretty much all we did.
